A Cultural Teaching and Sharing
Come join us in a fun, exciting, powerful weekend of ceremony, celebration, dancing, singing, workshops, crafting and firewalking.
Medicine Wheel
In our practice and application of the Medicine Wheel we have seven directions; the four primary forces (North, East, South, and West), Above, Below, and the Center (Creator).
All that exists, exists within the circle. We gain the wisdom of the Ancients by walking our wheel where life is continual.
During the ceremony of establishing the wheel, we will cover a more in-depth understanding of the gifts of the Medicine Wheel and how it is used in our daily lives.
Drumming and Chanting
Drumming and chanting is a way to send a vibration to resonate from Earth out into all the sister star systems. It is a way for the heart to express itself. The drum is the rhythmic beat of the heart that has been learned through the ancient practices of bringing that sound out into the physical world so that it resonates through all of the worlds. We see it as a way to communicate through all the planes of existence.
Chanting is actually the song of prayer. Chanting is the only way we do prayer. Traditional chants are proven and developed sounds and vibrations that affect and move through all things as mantras and these actually bring changes in manifestation.
Pipe Ceremony
The Native American medicine people's altar is their pipe, a mystic symbol of the union of nature and culture.
For us, there is just the pipe. The Earth we sit on, the open sky … that smoke from the peace Pipe, it goes straight up to the spirit world. But this is a two-way thing. Power flows down to us through that smoke, through the pipe stem. You feel that power as you hold your pipe; it moves from the pipe right into your body. It makes your hair stand up. That pipe is not just a thing; it is alive. (Lame Deer and Erdoes; Lame Deer: Seeker of Visions.)
Being traditional, we embrace the ceremony of our Grandmothers and Grandfathers regarding the use of sacred smoke and the movement of the pipe. During the ceremony we ask that you be as centered as possible, and remember that all of your thoughts and feelings during this time are parts of the prayers that you are making. Photographs and tapes are not allowed during this ceremony.

The Fire Dance
We explore the infinite power of expansion that comes through the Fire purification ceremony and dance. Presented by Pa'Ris'Ha, the evening will include medicine teachings and shaman wisdom for personal healing and wholeness with the Earth Mother and will conclude with a Fire dance with guests having the option to participate.
The Shaman's mystery of Fire is related to the mastery of ecstasy. The contact with conditions of excessive cold or extreme heat indicate that the shaman has gone beyond the ordinary human condition and is now a participant in the sacred world. The rousing of mystical heat in order to achieve fire-mastery is common to mystics and shamans the world over. The ability to withstand the rigors of a winter waterfall or the heat of burning embers is a manifestation of great power and a symbol of biological and spiritual maturation.
Fire, symbolic of life, allied with the concept of control and superiority, is a representation of an agent of transmutation. It is a medium into which forms vanish and from which they are born. It purifies or destroys that which is evil.
An offering of Fire is like the lamp, symbolic of individuated light, or the life of the individual.
Only holy events transpire in a field of radiant and purifying Fire.*
This is an incredibly powerful program for all those who are committed to discovering their divine purpose. Those who are searching for what's missing in their lives will find the tools for building and structuring their own personal tools for transformation.
The Fire dance awakens the soul to divine order and balance and removes limited thought processes that become illnesses and diseasement that result in death. Those who fire dance release their pain and sorrow. Participants learn that to live is to have joy and life is the song of the Spirit in manifest form. To dance and to sing is to truly live life in abundance and balance. Fire intrigues Man because there is something in him … deep within there is a remembering of the eternal flame of Creation. In the All-Knowing sate, the Soul remembers itself as that flame, and hungers to return to the light of the Wisdom Fire.
Dance of the Shaman
The Shaman is nearly as old as human consciousness itself, predating the earliest recorded civilizations by thousands of years. Through the ages, the practice of shamanism has remained vital, adapting itself to the ways of all the world's cultures. Today the role of shaman takes many forms - healer, ceremonialist, judge, sacred politician, and artist, to name a few. The shaman lies at the very heart of some cultures, while living in the shadowy fringe of others. Nevertheless, a common thread seems to connect all shamans across the planet. An awakening to other orders of reality, the experience of ecstasy, and an opening up of visionary realms form the essence of the shamanic mission.
Shamanic knowledge is remarkably consistent across the planet. In spite of cultural diversity and the migration and diffusion of peoples across the earth, the basic themes related to the art and practice of shamanism forms a coherent complex.
Cultural variations do exist, and yes, when examining the field, there are superficial features as well as deeper structures which appear to be constant. *
This workshop looks closely at the traditions of Shamanism, and the healing techniques of Native Americans and the other world cultures. We will look at recent practices in core shamanism which are the short-cuts and condensed practices of the original way of shamanism.
We will examine the psychological effects of these shortcuts. We will express the validity of true shamanism as a whole rational psychology … a tool for professionals in mental health and healing fields. This is a proven, seasoned method of healing for those who are pursing personal transformation and wholeness. It is effectively practiced now by many professionals.
We will conclude with the Dance of the Shaman.

Developing the Heart Song
The Heart Song comes from experiencing self from a deep inner level of love and discovery of Great Spirit within. It is finding the particular melody and personal tone to release and add balance to your whole being. Particpants will be taught a precise method to Fire their own Heart Song through drumming, rattling, chanting and singing. From this, one can expect personal beauty (personality) and physical beauty. The Ancients taught that those who found their Heart Song would be forever youthful.
Giveaway Ceremony
It is the custom of native people when there is a Teacher of the Way holding a circle that there is giveaway ceremony.
Giveaways may be feathers, shells, stone people, or any gift that one desires. But it should be meaningful and valued by the giver.
The giveaway is our demonstration of the value we will take from the Wisdoms shared and apply in our life.
Children's Program
To us the children are the promise of our future. They are treated as one of the most sacred gifts we can bring forth on this earth. It is our belief that when one is born it guarantees us the renewing of the life-force; it means our seeds and our way will be on-going.
In celebration of the children present, a children's program will be conducted for youngsters from ages 4-11 during the workshop times on Saturday. This is not a babysitting program. The children will gain knowledge of the Earth Mother and their relationship to Her, and of themselves through games, nature walks, crafts, songs, and stories. They will have a special time to share what they have learned during the Children's Dance at the conclusion of the Medicine Wheel.
Youth Program
The Youth Program will consist of activities and teachings in relation to earth, honoring themselves and their own spiritual direction, whatever that might be.
